LESLEY (Female)

Please welcome Lesley. She arrived at our rescue in September and fit to burst with a heavy pregnancy after being a stray in the Rhodes area. I took her into foster and she had “2” babies, yes 2 on 29th September. I really thought there were going to be more but the world works in mysterious ways. Unbeknown, we took a Mum and 5 very newborn kittens into the rescue early October and their Mum rejected them overnight. “Operation Lesley” stepped in and she took the 5 extras under her paws during the day. Sadly over the night ( even with my intervention) she rejected 4 of the kittens and no matter how hard I tried she just wasn’t having any of it. Over the next day we lost 4 kittens ( as they needed their Mother/ surrogate Mother for the colostrum in their milk to be able to build up antibodies to fight off any infection) She would only care for the one little female ( a kalamanka). She nursed it to health and  is now a thriving 8 week old (now homed along with her natural kittens). Lesley took a liking to mooching on the landing of our home after being Mum and decided that she didn’t like the company of either of my dogs and a few of my cats. It seems that this 2 year old can hold her own after all! Lesley is being neutered on Wednesday 12th December along with her 1st vaccination. She has a very loving nature and loves a brush and rough stroking/play fighting. If you would like more information then please call into the rescue or ring us on 0161 653 6530. Thank you, Faye.
